About emoskurios

I was released 6 months ago after serving 10 years in prison for drug relate crimes.  I was once a drug addict and alcoholic and my life was totally out of control.  Around March of 2001,  the Lord gave me a new heart and has delivered me from all those destructive behaviors that once dominated my life.  Upon release from prison I immediately went to work, was married, and now have a child to be born in about 4 months.

In other words, God has restored my life.  I am 48 years old and my wife Debra, is 43.  The unusualness of this pregnancy is that doctors had told her all her life that it was impossible for her to get pregnant.  We had both accepted the fact that we would never know what it was like to have a child. However, the Lord had a different plan for us.  You see, Debra was also a former drug addict and alcoholic whom the Lord delivered 3 years ago.  Niether her nor I were ever responsible enough to have a child in our younger years.

TO THE POINT:  I have recently had a hernia operation and Debra is not able to work.  We have a moble home and medicare, however not earning a enough income for our bills is very stressing, not to mention the cost that we will soon have when our son is born.  I am a carpenter by trade, but there are few or no jobs available in this area.  I am willing to work or do what ever it takes to provide for the family and new life the Lord has given me.  I stumbled across this site and thought it could possibly be that the Lord would help us through someone who may read this.  If  anyone can help us out with a job, baby clothes (Male), or any other means we would be very thankful.

Myhusband and I have a daughter with very special needs. She has Retts Syndrome. She's 22 and wears a diaper and takes a bottle, can't walk or talk.I have to lift her everywhere and do everything for her, even feed her. We worship this child. She's been the reason we go on even tho I have been laid off after 25 years as a teacher. My husband did something stupid. HE sold pills to help us make it thru and now he's in jail looking at at least 10 years.I am so sad that I can't go on. He's so sorry and he will never do this again. He can't even look at me without crying and this man has NEVER cried in front of me. He cries for her.I have to go on because of my baby, but I need a miracle from God. Please pray that the prosecuter's heart will soften and my baby can have her dad back sooner than 10 years. We go to court soon for sentencing, and I am begging all of you to please pray for us. That's all I am asking, for your prayers.

standing up for disabled people

what is the deal with society now?  i read about an 18 year old mentally challanged boy who was sentenced to 100 years in jail for sexual conduct.  what is wrong  with this picture?  just because he is disabled, he should not get away with the charge.  but i do believe that it is wrong for him to be sentenced 100 years, when our society helped make him that away.  kids go to school and bully these disabled kids and the schools do nothing, the parents do nothing, so don't you think that we are to blame.  these kids go to school to get an education just like any other kids, just cause there is something wrong with them, doesn't mean that they should be looked down on.  and sentencing a 18 year old boy that has the mind of a 6 or 7 year old to 100 years in jail is wrong.  especially when the rest of society might only get 5 to 10 years.  i know people that have sexually assaulted kids, (even there own kids) and only got 90 days in jail and 10 years probation.  my father raped me for several years and all he got was 4 hours of counseling, i got put in a foster home and sent back to his house when i graduated high school.  so  does anyone out there feel the way i do?  i have a 19 year old disabled son, that i have raised on my own.  i have watched kids bully him all through school and get away with it.  but yet he has gotten in trouble for bullying a kid.  i have even heard teachers and principals bully these kids and treat them as if they have a contigous disease.  like they are nothing.  society needs to stand up for these kids and find other places for them than in our prison system where they will be bullied again or killed.   SO LET'S START STANDING UP FOR THEM AND MAKING OUR VOICES HEARD!!!!!!

GOD,s plea bargain

hi my name is robert,i,m 56 years old and i want you to know that God loves you and is aware of everything that matters to your life. in 1987, i was facing 20 to 95 years in prison because i wanted to do things my way. while in jail awaiting trial, i let Jesus christ into my heart and also recieved his holy spirit with evidance of speaking in an unknown tounge. i knew that if i didn,t do something to make a positive change in my life that i would fail to fullfil the purpose for me being alive, that was to raise my four children and be a husband to my wife. while in jail and praying and fasting, all the while telling God that no matter what happened to me, i would serve him anyway. God answered my prayers by sending a women of means to my wife with a blank check to get me bonded out so that i could work while i was waiting for my trial. this was a miracle to me and even my state appointed attorny was astonished! my boss agreed to give me back my job!, another miracle!, i worked for another 6 weeks until the pending date of my trial. the night before my trial a friend called my to come to his apartment to meet someone who might help me. i arrived at his apartment and was introduced to Mac Gober, the founder and president of Canaanland Bible Training Center in Autaugaville alabama. Speaking as the prophet of God, he told me that i was not going to prison, that God had a plan for my life. not knowing who he was or what weight he carried with anyone, i said" why should i believe what you say?" with determinate faith mac said"you just be ready to go at 8 am and wear a suit if you have one" i replied "ok" the next morning i found myself in court waiting for my name to be called. finally, i was to appear in front of the district judge. i was quite prepared to go to prison but the words Mac spoke to me echoed in my mind. the judge was not impressed, he stared at me as though i were a diseased animal that needed putting down. i stood my ground and braced for the worst.he looked at meagain and said "did you really do everything on this rap sheet?" i thought this is not the time to lie! "yes" i said, he looked at me again, picked up his gavel, banged it down and said twenty years! but, he stopped momentarily and said "look, i don,t have to accept a plea bargain from anyone, not even God,i,m going toturn you over to this man (pointing to Mac) and if you don,t graduate from his school and you fail to meet the requirements i,m going to order you to meet, you will come back here and do every minute of twenty years, do you understand?", i knodded my head and just barely got "yes sir, your honor" he looked at Mac and said get him out of here! that was twenty years ago. i still serve God, and i never left Canaanland, in fact i teach the Bible there and play bass guitar in the praise and worship team. i live a good life, better than i ever could have done doing it "my way" john 3:16 is God,s offer of life and not death, take it! and live.

Meyers Grove Charity House

Hello.

My name is Aleia Flores.. I am looking for an investor, or several of them to aid in my dream.. I have been plagued with the problem of substance abuse,, Not me personally, but members of my family, friends, and people whom I hold very dear to my heart. Most of these people in my life had served time in a prison, and were then sent to a "half way house" to wait out their time until they were sent back to prison, or booted out onto the streets. This angered me every time I heard this news. What are we doing as a society to help these people become productive members of the world in which they live? How can we stand aside and let them continue to do wrong,, when we hold the keys to helping them succeed in life? This is where my dream comes from.. I am a college Grad. I have a degree in Criminal Justice,, with a minor in Paralegal studies. I wanted to be a DA. But realized half way through my program that I wanted to rehabilitate as opposed to just "lock em up". I need your help in realizing this dream... I want to open a halfway house.. But wait.. not just any half way house.. This will be the house that will set a bar so high that houses to come will try to duplicated our policies and procedures. Well will set a standard. My house will offer such things as a "business center" where the "members" (yes they will be called members,, as in members of our family) can look for employment. We will offer AA and NA meetings in the home every night, Also a shuttle service to get members to and from work, and job interviews. This is just the tip of the iceberg.. this dream keeps me awake at nigh.. I need someone to help me get this off the ground.. All I am asking for right now is 10,000.00 dollars. I give my solid word that within 6 months time I will return your investment times 2.. I need these funds to file the necessary paperwork.. I need my 501c3 to show that I am not for profit organization, so that I can receive donations,, I need to get my TIN so that I may open up a corporate account and begin to receive monetary donations.. I need to obtain a web site in order for companies to donate via the internet.. all of theses things require money.. of which I am out of.. Please contact me at your earliest convince.. I would love to share more information with you.. I would like to secure an investor TODAY.. actually YESTERDAY would have been nice! I am so sincere and driven to make this dream a reality. All I need is someone to believe in it as much as I do. I am a firm believer in Karma.. What goes around truly does come all the way back around.. You get what you give. Thank you for taking the time to read this! A. Flores

Please contact me if you feel like this would be an opportunity that you would like to take advantage of.

Prison Ministry needs your help today

Arkyfaith Church was conceived by the vision of Pastor Deborah M. Bailey to help lost souls find the true path to Christ, by having many outreach programs available. The church was open for operation in February 2004. Since that time it has became an outreach portal in the following areas:

Shut – INS
Youth groups
Prison Ministry
Mentoring program
Bible study by mail
Caring card ministry
Feeding the hungry worldwide
Christmas cards to the troops
Other charitable events

Our current project: Bibles for prisoners

Our plan is to reach prisoners worldwide and offer bibles and bible studies to those who are forgotten by society. Our project also includes our caring card ministry, which is our initial contact with such prisoners. A postcard and gospel tract is mailed to each prisoner. We acquire their names through varies means, prayer requests from loved ones, other churches or non profit organizations that work with prisons worldwide. The status of said prisoner is not of concern, meaning that any prisoner qualifies for our program. Once said prisoner has received his or her care card envelop a postcard already pre stamped and addressed to the church can be returned for our services.

Our problem lies within the means of financial donations which are currently limited and fall well below operating standards.

The purposed amount we are seeking with your particular institution is $1000. Our total yearly cost of this endeavor is estimated at a little over $72,000, especially with the rising costs of stamps and supplies. This amount is sure to double within the next 5 years.

Reaching he lost is our life mission. No one can be spared at any cost.

Thank you for your generous consideration and time

Hello,
Tonight, I find myself in a dilemma over the dental crisis my young adult friend and former state prison inmate reported to me by phone yesterday.

7 years ago I made the acquaintance of this young man via prison penpals, the website.  Over the years I befriended his entire family (a mom with 3 other sons, raising her kids as a single parent).  I traveled to the distant state where they live in rural America.  I took an interest in them all: I helped the youngest child with legal defense (he was in trouble too), transportation to his dad's house in California, and even clothing and dental work.  Now the oldest son who got out of prison about a year ago has finally found his way to and has attended his first year at the state university with excellent grades (a MAJOR accomplishment for which I am thankful).

Yesterday this young man telephoned me in severe pain: he now needs dental surgery & correction of 3 problems.  The surgery will cost $1,700.  I scraped together EVERYTHING I have including this month's social security check and I have only $1,100.  I told him to schdule the surgery (he did so--for Monday Dec 18) & I'd pay.  BUT NOW I CAN'T FIND THE LAST $600.  He has to have that dental work done!  He's on hydrocodone until the surgery.  He has no money, no credit, and no medical insurance.   I can pay the additional $600, but not until my check for january on Jan 5.  I'm frantic.  I need to FedEx the full amount tomorrow or Friday.  But for now, "I'm dead in the water..."   Suggestions....???  P.J.
